In a Moment - Issue 5

I’m writing this on my 20th flight this year.

Travel can be uncomfortable, can create stress, can be uncertain.

But it is also temporary.

The discomfort is temporary and is usually forgotten.

The stress is temporary and dissolves.

The uncertainty is temporary and clarifies.

Rather than focusing on the discomfort, the stress, the uncertainty that might be present for you, what about bringing attention to the reality that whatever may be arising is temporary?

Its hold is not permanent.

Can you loosen the grip and see if you can feel a little space?

Feel a softening of the edges of any tension.

Maybe stretch your arms over head.

Maybe roll your head from side to side.

Maybe draw your shoulders into your ears and then release them back down.

Maybe release any tension in your belly.

Maybe close your eyes and be still for a moment.
